Arliss (Scotty) Fitting passed away February 28, 2019 after a brief illness. Scotty was born in Timberlake, South Dakota on September 14, 1921. She married Douglas Fitting in July, 1943 with whom she was able to celebrate 53 years of marriage..
After raising her three children Scotty worked for Shell Oil Company, Parish Manufacturing and Indiana Farmers before retiring. She was an avid golfer and bridge player and had a great sense of humor. Scotty crocheted beautiful blankets which will be cherished by all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also accumulated 3500 hours of volunteer time at St. Vincent Hospital.
She will be missed by her three children Barbara Hittle, Stuart, FL, Doug Fitting (Sue) Clarksville, TN and Robert Fitting (Siena), Carmel, IN. She is also survived by six grandchildren Sydney Thomas, Michael Hittle, Ginger Fitting, Tim Fitting, Amanda Hancock, Kevin Fitting and four great grandchildren
Cremation will be by Serenity, Funeral and Cremation Services, Indianapolis.A family memorial service will be held in July at St Francis of The Fields, Zionsville, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that the reader make a donation to their favorite charity.
