Geraldine “Gerry” Jessie Yoon, 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on October 6, 2018. She is survived by her: sister Lois Stough; five children Barry Garcia, Brenda Garcia, Elesia Yoon (Bernie), Stacia Yoon (Scott), and Alex Yoon; seven grandchildren Harmony, Alexis, Eleanor, Ian, Molly, Gabriella, and Madeline; and two great-grandchildren Justice and Liberty.
Gerry was born in Swea City, Iowa on January 30, 1933. She lived in Iowa until she and her family moved to Indianapolis in 1976. She loved metal detecting, antiquing, playing cards, carrot cake, and butter. Few people know what a great voice she had and how she aspired to be theatrical. Most people did know that she was a great cook. Her legacy includes her apple pie, Chinese meatballs, and gravy. In her later years, she focused on belly dancing.
