Diane P Easley

Diane P. Easley was the loving daughter of James & Elizabeth Brown. She was born June 14, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shelia Smith, and niece Julie Brown Owens.

Diane grew up in the historic Lockefield area. At a young age she professed her love for Christ and that love increased with each passing year.  She was educated in the Indianapolis Public School system, where she graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1959.

Diane married Joe Easley and ran a local convenience store. Joe and Diane later divorced but remained friends.

Diane retired from Link Belt where she worked for many years.

Diane was a very loving and thoughtful person. You would usually hear her coming before she ever entered the room. She was truly the life of the party. She really enjoyed card parties with her close friends, where she would often talk smack across the table. She was a great supporter, she made sure to attend monumental events of her friends and family. She didn’t let her failing health stop her, she always had an ace in hole with her great niece Monique.  Whom she would call “her Ride or Die.”

Diane loved the Lord, life and her family. You would often find her cooking and enjoying time with her family. During these loving moments you couldn’t call it a night until she heard Bruno Mars “ In the pink coat.”  She always kept it one hundred and never minced her words. Diane gave it to you like it was always reassuring you it was all in love.

Diane departed this earthly life on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the age of seventy-five years, 11 months, and 6 days.

Diane P. Easley leaves to cherish her precious memory her two brothers, Michael Brown (Glenna) and James Mark Brown; nephews Michael Brown, Erik Brown Sr.(Sabrina), Timothy Brown Sr. (Emma), Heath Smith (Latisha), and Justin Smith; 13  great nieces and nephews; two great great nieces Anyah and Kai her “Gurl”; one great great nephew Caden; and a host of cousins and friends.
