Reverend James Lee Miller, 89, passed away peacefully May 18, 2018. James was born April 24, 1929 in Kosciusko, Mississippi to the late James and Fannie Miller. He was the oldest of twelve children of which two sisters McVeda Ateberry, Mary Baler, three brothers Charles Miller, Joe Lewis Miller, and James Henry along with one son Willie Joe Miller whom all preceded him in death.
James professed his love for the lord and became an ordained minister in 1980, serving as an associate pastor at Pilgrim Baptist Church, New Covenant and Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
James is survived by his wife of 41 years, Audrey L. Johnson Miller; four sisters, Ida Whitfield, Muszetta Carter, Clara Whitfield and Betty Riley; two brothers, Azree Miller and Calvin James Miller; three daughters, Pearl Boyd, Betty Mosby and Bridgete Battle; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, June 1, 2018 at Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church 3626 W. 16th Street INdianapolis, IN 46222 with Pastor Avery Bush officiating.
