She was an amazing, strong woman. She always had the utmost respect for me and our family. Granny Mary you will be missed dearly.

I used to go to Aunt Mary's house in the summer to stay at times, and Punkin (Thelma) would always come to our house in the summer too. I remember one summer I was there, the kids were all still in school and Aunt Mary took me to the grocery store with her. She picked up a package of the coconut haystack candies and proceeded to eat the hole bag while she shopped. When the bag was empty she put it back on a shelf and when I looked at her she simply said with a twinkle in her eye and that grin of hers that there was something wrong with them. I am told often that I look a lot like her, and I take that as a compliment, she was a sweet soul and will be gallivanting around with her wings with her daughter Thelma and son Bubby.
