Andrea Ruth Shuman

Andrea Shuman was a beloved wife and mother to three children. She graduated from Brownsburg High School in 1987 and went on to attend Taylor University in Upland, Indiana and Herron School of Art & Design at IUPUI in Indianapolis. She poured her love of art, design and writing into everything she did, including her home and the teaching of her children, nephews and nieces. From 1991 to 1994 she served as a flight attendant for American Trans Air (ATA) where she was literally able to see and experience the world. It was during her training time at ATA that Andrea met Roger Shuman from New Haven, Indiana. They were introduced by mutual friends via a blind date in 1991 and married on October 17, 1992. In October of 2017 they celebrated 25 years of marriage.

In recent years she served as an Administrative Assistant to Dr. Dalia Tawfeek of Eye See You Optometry in Greenwood, Indiana. Andrea was a stay-at-home mother and home educator where she educated her three children through junior high school. In addition to art and decorating she also enjoyed reading and writing. She and her husband belonged to a writing group based in Danville, Indiana. Andrea attended Grace Fellowship Church in Avon, Indiana where her father, Warren Burns, served as a teaching pastor. Andrea was a part of that church for most of her life. She attended Grace Fellowship along with her husband, Roger and their children, William, Baylee and Izabella. Andrea loved others more than she loved herself and was always willing to give and serve. She impacted so many people in this world by her selfless love and devotion. She will be forever missed by family and friends but we somehow rest in the fact that she is walking with Jesus today.
